Correspondence from Thomas Carlyle to [Charles] Robson
Letter from Thomas Carlyle to Sir Arthur William Buller; Chelsea, 14 Dec. 1859
Delighted to hear from Buller; looks forward to visiting him and perfecting his acquaintance with Lady Buller, but cannot do so at present on account of his wife not wishing to travel in winter, and because of the pressures of his own work; his distaste for his current occupation [writing 'Frederick the Great']; suggests that he and Buller may go riding together in London.
