A small volume with four biographies of the four Selwyn brothers, perhaps written by Charles Jasper Selwyn (unlikely as it includes an account of his death, more probably by Frances Elizabeth Selwyn 1815-1903); three of the biographies are accompanied by a photograph. Terry Brown writes 23/11/2008: 'Worldcat and others attribute the book to the oldest Selwyn sister, Laetitia Frances, not the youngest, as I suggested when I visited.'

Scope and Contents Comprises letters and papers chiefly of George Augustus Selwyn and also of his wife, Sarah Selwyn as well as Edward Coleridge and William Charles Cotton among others. The collection includes diaries of GAS, 1841-4 and 1857; a letterbook, 1840-60; and correspondence, 1831-72, including letters to Edward Coleridge, 1842-65, and correspondence of William Charles Cotton, 1841-7; sermons 1835-1878; also sketches and photographs; also a vellum manuscript from people connected with G.
