A large part relates to the running of the laboratory at Liverpool after Rotblat's return from Los Alamos (December 1944); Chadwick remained in the USA as Head of the British Mission attached to Los Alamos and most of his letters 1945-1947 are written from the USA. The plans for re-building at Liverpool, work on the cyclotron, staffing, grants etc. are covered, along with wider issues such as the Nuclear Physics Sub-Committee...
