Alley states that your Vol II makes exciting reading to one who has long wondered at the mixture of old Taoist, Legalist, and Confucian formalist philosophy that goes to make up the character of the people.' Other matters discussed include some ancient characters used as fertility signs; a print of an old engraving of the patron saint of medicine.
