In her index, Frances Partridge identifies one of these men as Lytton Strachey.
Shapshot of distant figures sitting in deckchairs or on the grass in front of a lattice fence with cottages behind. This might be the same badminton game as, for example, FCP/7/4/2/125. If so, the figures might be Frances Partridge, Reine Pitman, Stephen Tomlin and Lytton Strachey.
Snapshot of a man sitting on a river bank, with water in the foreground and trees in the background. His head is partially cut off from the photograph, but judging by the clothes and beard, it might be Lytton Strachey.
