Scope and Contents He had received a letter from Kit (a friend who had later been killed in an avalanche the same day) which was a shock. He is heavily involved in the wedding plans for the reception at Peterhouse on 10 June, as Adele can't give orders to the College kitchens. He describes their new home in Conduit Head, a wing of the main house belonging to Francis and Frances Cornford, with a garden which used to be the orchard part of the Cornfords' garden.
