Biography

Irene Mary Farrer was born on 17 June 1867 in Marylebone, London, the eighth child of solicitor Frederick Willis Farrer (1829-1909) and his wife Mary Richmond (1837-1916). She never married and died on 13 March 1961.

Single letter from Irene Mary Farrer to Horace Darwin dated 17 September 1910 expressing sympathy on hearing news of Ida's accident. The letter was subsequently forwarded to Ruth Darwin annotated with a brief note by Horace.
