Scope and Contents The volume is endorsed on the front cover 'Despatches received. Hawaian Consulate from January 6th 1886 to December 28th 1887', and contains despatches sent to William Keswick and John Bell-Irving, Consuls General, Hong Kong, including information regarding coolie emigration to Hawaii and opium imported to Hawaii from Macao via Sydney. There is also a printed notice from the Colonial Secretary's Office, Hong Kong, 13 June 1887, regarding the Thankgiving Service to mark the 50th Anniversary...
