Biography
Hiroshi Yasuda was born in Tokyo and educated in Tokyo and the United States. He worked for the Oki Electric Industry Co. Ltd from 1959 until he joined Jardine, Matheson & Co. (Japan) Ltd in 1979. He transferred to the company's Head Office in Hong Kong in 1982, and returned to Tokyo in 1983 as Managing Director of Jardine, Matheson & Co. (Japan) Ltd.

Scope and Contents
Copies of semi-official letters from Jardine Matheson, Hong Kong, to Jardine Matheson, Taipei, 1948-1977 and 1981-1982, with enclosed letters and papers. There are also semi-official letters from Taipei to Hong Kong for the years 1951, 1952, 1955, 1968-1977 and 1981-1982, comprised mainly of original letters, but also including some copies. The later correspondence includes some unnumbered letters. The correspondents are A.D. Angus, I.F. Aucott, H.D.M. Barton, B.E. Bolton, J. Boon, D.I....
