Biography
John Barton joined the Financial Controller's Department of Jardine, Matheson & Co. Ltd in 1976. He was transferred to Jardine Davies Inc. in 1977, becoming a Director and Vice President (Finance and Treasury). In 1980 he was seconded to London as a Director of Matheson & Co. Ltd. He was the first Chairman of the Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group following its creation in 1997.
