Norman, Quentin Pope, Oliver Simon, and John de la Valette. With the correspondence are a typescript costing of publications for 1935, and a typescript (carbon copy) memorandum from W. C. Heaton and Company Certified Public Accountants to George Macy re: Nonesuch Press dated 29 July 1935.
The letters concern a proposed article by Steinberg for Signature, never published.
Morison's letters include one original typescript transcription. With these is a copy of a letter from Walter Diethelm to Morison; a photographic print of a Double Crown Club announcement lettered by Morison; and a letter from Ruth Simon to Morison (1955).
The letters concern Carter's comments on Monotype Fournier in his book Fournier on typefounding (1930). With the letters is a letter from Morison conveying the letters to Oliver Simon, marked by Howe 'passed by Simon to Ellic Howe'.
Except for items 1, 28, and 36, all the correspondence is from others to Simon.
The collection contains papers of the company and personal papers of Oliver Simon, Herbert Simon, and Basil Harley. These include correspondence; papers relating to specific printing jobs and to types, paper, printing processes, etc.; business papers; and specimens of printing.

Typescript of 12 pages (carbon copy): a talk given to the Double Crown Club on 26 Apr. 1956. With the typescript are papers used by Meynell in this talk: a set of 12 letters (some transcripts) to and from Meynell, Oliver and Herbert Simon; and a typescript biography of Simon (2 pages, a carbon copy) by Meynell and dated 19 May 1949.
Copy of Signature 5 (Mar. 1937) containing the review on pp. 44-52. With this are letters from Oliver Simon to Meynell, and from Rauri McLean to the editor of Signature.
