Biography

Born 5 August 1828, Coventry. Admitted to Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, 15 May 1846; BA 1851; M.A. 1854. Curate of Cold Ashby, Northamptonshire, 1852-5. Disappears from Clergy List, 1857.

Scope and Contents

Two page manuscript poem, including the ballad 'Geraldine's song'. It was published by Mousley in his 'Poems, lyric and heroic' (1850), where it is described as having been written when an undergraduate ‘during some of the leisure hours of a college course’.
