John Colson's autograph translation of 'Analytical institutions, in four books: originally written in Italian by Donna Maria Gaetana Agnesi; professor of the mathematics and philosophy in the University of Bologna' (the work was edited posthumously by John Hellins, London, 1801).

This translation was made from the transcript made by William Jones, which is also in the Macclesfield Collection (Add. 9597/9/2.) Colson added his own, "perpetual comment on the whole work consisting of annotations, illustrations and supplements."
