Scope and Contents From the File:

This is an album consisting primarily of holograph letters to and from 17th and 18th century scientists, including Collins, Oughtred, Cavendish, Briggs, Fermat, Oldenburg, Halley, Boyle, Wallis and others. There are also some copy letters and other scientific papers.

(1) ‘Roxana, tragœdia’ by William Alabaster; the play was acted at Trinity College, Cambridge in 1590; (2) ‘Pastor Fidus, tragi-comœdia’ an anonymous adaptation of Il Pastor Fido (1590), by G. B. Guarini; the play was acted at King’s College, Cambridge.
