Mostly letters concerning Carter's election as a Fellow in Jan. 1967. These include a letter from the Provost, and letters of congratulation from Lord Salisbury (his predecessor in the number of fellows), John Betjeman, and others. With the letters are printed lists of Eton College officers with ms. alterations, and clippings.
Includes correspondence, papers relating to Eton, Cambridge and Oxford Universitties, a large number of high quality photographs taken at Eton between 1879 and 1947, including many of royal visits, and also school reports on Marten written by the young A.C. Benson.
