Letter from Admiral of the Fleet 1st Lord Fisher to WSC [First Lord of the Admiralty] on the work of the Royal Commission on Fuel and Engines, advising him to read the report of the technical and scientific committee on blending and mixing of oils; Fisher also mentions the proposed installation of improved engines for battleships and attacks critics who "cast a stone at the Dreadnought type". Fisher also comments on submarines, strongly advising WSC not to go for steam power and pointing out that he could build at least 20 big submarines for one Dreadnought.
