An address by the University of Cambridge to Charles, 2nd Viscount Townshend, thanking him for his part in securing Bishop Moore's library for the University, 1715. There is a draft of Townshend's reply, an account of the expenses of foreign ministers of the British Crown, 1741, and an address from the University of Louvain to the University of Cambridge, 1919.

From the 1880s, administrative records of the burgeoning Department of Geology, its teaching, examining, and students, survive alongside papers for the lengthy project to build the Sedgwick Museum. The archives also include the papers of Professor T. McKenny Hughes, Woodwardian Professor 1873-1917.

Registrary's printed pamphlet collection, 1642 - 1890

The printed pamphlet collection was begun in the early nineteeth century by William Hustler, Registrary 1816-32, and continued by his successors Joseph Romilly, Registrary 1832-62, Henry Richard Luard, Registrary 1862-91 and John Willis Clark, Registrary 1891-1910. The pamphlets cover a wide range of subjects such as educational reform, foreign education, university and parliamentary elections, religion, politics, academic exercises, local history, and the University Library.
