(1) ff. 1–175. 'An Argument upon the Question of Impositions digested and devided into sundry chapters, by Serjeant Davis [al. in MS. Davies], one of his Majesties learned Councell in Ireland. Dedicated to King James, in the latter end of his Majesties Raigne, by the Author.' Sir John Davies was Attorney General in Ireland in 1606, and author of the poem 'Nosce Teipsum.' He died in 1626.
