Autograph signatures of members of the senate in support of petition to House of Lords opposing the Irish Church bill. After (fo. 7) heads of colleges and (fo. 8) professors the signatures are arranged by college. They appear on strips of paper, pasted into the volume. 284 folios. The diary comprises two volumes which have been bound into one. The versos are mainly blank. Inside the front cover: '21888 Ph B44.563' (in pencil). There is an index to vol. 1 at fos 139v-142. Fo. i v (vol. 2) has notes in the text hand. Fo. 1: 'from Puttick sale 1849'. Fos i in both volumes have the label '268/2' (19th century).

Henry Elsynge, 'Judicature in Parliament', 81 folios. On folio i v is 'E Libris MSS Geo. Pryme Hospit: Lincol: Westmon. AD 1806'. The entry at front of the volume is to George Pryme, M.A. (1781-1868), the only son of Christopher Pryme of Hull. George attended Trinity College, Cambridge, and was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1803. He was Professor of Political Economy at Cambridge University, 1828-1863.

House of Commons: Journal

'Journal of the Commons, anno primo Caroli Regis', a manuscript transcript of two sessions, 6 February-25 March 1625 and 21 June-12 August 1625, 137 leaves. The volume has been misbound so that the second session comes first. The journal is written in at least three hands, and has corrections of scribal errors in a contemporary hand, as well as manuscript alterations and marginal instructions intended for a printer. A catalogue entry has been pasted in at the front of the volume.

The Papers of Sir William Bull

Scope and Contents BULL 1 - 10 is made up of diaries kept faithfully by William (or Paul, as he was known to his family and close friends) Bull from 1878, when he was thirteen years old until some three weeks before his death in January 1931. The earlier diaries were illustrated and all the diaries are interleaved with letters, press cuttings, menus, theatre programmes and photographs relating to the events they describe.
