A personal photograph album of a family trip to Algeria, starting in Algiers. it is an early indicator of Lord Tayour's abiding, life-long interest in photographing landscapes, gardens, local peoples, his own family memebrs and archaeological sites.

There are occasional additions in 17th and 18th century hands. The drawing and colouring are crude. Many coats of arms are not coloured. On fo. 74v is 'And Die is cast John White' (18th century)....
