Correspondence regarding the time ball at Deal, much of it concerning the construction of the station. The correspondents include Sir F. Beaufort, J.T. Walker, W. Richards and A. Hall. The papers include a diagram of triangulation between St Peters, Thanet, Dover Castle and Paddlesworth.
