Edward Walter Maunder and Annie Scott Dill Maunder: papers, 1877 - 2008
The collection primarily consists of the Maunders' published works both on their research and explanatory works on astronomy for a more popular audience. Some of these publications bear annotations. There are also some notes on a variety of subjects, a pin-hole camera, a planisphere and some items of correspondence. There is supporting material in the form of obituaries, letters of condolence and subsequent published works on the Maunders and their work.

Ernest C. Atkinson Papers, 1906 - 1954
A collection of papers concerning horology and clockmaking. It includes correspondence between Ernest C. Atkinson and a range of people connected with horology and timekeeping, including Humphry Smith and other members of the RGO’s Time Department. The collection also includes pamphlets, leaflets, papers and booklets, brochures for watch sales, admiralty notices to mariners re time signals, sets of notes, graphs and calculations, and a small number of photographs of clock parts.
Errors in lunar distances, 1765 - 1766
'To clear the distance of the Moon from a star from the effects of refraction and parallax', February 1766. The envelope includes copies of reports made to the Board of Longitude by John Howe, undated, and M. Raper of Thorley Hall, 9 July 1765, on the method of Israel Lyons and George Witchell for correcting observed distances. There are also a number of tables on the Sun's parallax.
Errors of Observations and Adjustments to Instruments: records (including clock errors and rates), 1822 - 1954
A large set of registers recording errors of observations and adjustments to instruments; clock errors and rates; and clock comparisons with standard.
Each register contains handwritten entries on printed numbered forms.
Note: there are many gaps in the surviving record. The clock error and clock rates books, for example, have volumes only for 1806-1813, 1899-1911, 1919-1921, 1929-1940.

Greenwich Photoheliographic Results, 1892 - 1957
Bound volumes of printed Greenwich Heliographic Results, covering the years 1892-1957. Most contain multiple issues of printed results of measures made at the Royal Observatory, Greenwich, of photographs of the Sun taken at Greenwich, the Cape, and Kodaikanal/Mauritius, with additions such as printed ledgers of sunspot groups.
