Originally rolled together randomly as 'Old College accounts', many dating from the 1570s. Included among them were two stray leaves from the Liber Albus, a bifolium from the volume of College Accounts, 1479 to 1534.
For further accounts, chiefly relating to the college's suit against Thomas Aldrich, Master, and to its attempts to recover debts due from him see 02/M/17/1.

Nos 11-13, 26-199 not used. 223 (1) relates to the manor of Barton Lancaster and is there housed and listed.

Nos 6 to 14 appear to relate to actual or potential hearings in 1573, either before Matthew Parker, or Lord Burghley, or university authorities; nos 15 to 34 probably all relate to the Chancery hearing, or hearing before commissioners appointed by Chancery,, in 1575. The documents bearing the signature of Thomas Legge, Commissary, on the dorse may have served more than one purpose.

Note of receipt of writ for Mr Clifford and John Kyppys on 2 May, and of journey to London on 29 June 1584 in relation to the case, with list of expenses for warrants, horse hire, etc.; 3. Copy of his lease dated 7 October 1583; pen trials.
