Bound volume of typescript letters sent from HATF to his wife, Florence Kathleen (nee Ogilvie) for the period 17 January to 1 December 1915. The letters begin on 17 January with HATF leaving for France and end with his arrival in Salonika on 1 December. As the holder of a commission in the Royal Army Medical Corps, HATF was mobilised with the 85th Field Ambulance and spent most of 1915 in the vicinity of Ypres.
