The track runs across a shored-up dam on the river, and off into a tunnel.The tunnel in the picture leads through to the Hakesbury Bridge on the Sydney-Newcastle line. Brooklyn is situated near the mouth of the Hawkesbury, just in from Broken Bay, and the bridge was opened in 1889, completing a system which now extended over 1700 miles from Brisbane to Melbourne and Sydney, and then through...
