The typescript caption attached to the reverse of the print continues: 'Obviously pleased by the proceedings, Lady Arthur accepts a bouquet from a young resident of George Town, Exuma. Lady Arthur and the Bahamas' new governor, Sir Raynor Arthur, K. C. M. G. , C. V. 255 x 200 mm. Arthur shaking hands with one of the participants of the Fourth Out Island Regatta. (Sir) Roland Symonette, leader of Government in the House of Assembly is in the background. The reverse of the print is stamped by the Bahamas News Bureau, with their reference: '12829', and is annotated in pencil with 'Alfred Bain, Mystery (?) J'. Presumably this is the name of the man pictured shaking Arthur's hand, and the name of his vessel.

255 x 200 mm. Arthur pinning something to the lapel of one of the participants of the Fourth Out Island Regatta. Captain Patrick Cobbold, Private Secretary is in the background. Annotated on the reverse of the print, written in black ink, is :'P. Cobbold, C (centre), Out Island (illegible) R (right)'. The reference '12820' is stamped on the reverse of the print.

The typescript caption attached to the reverse of the print continues: 'All hands are busy when the starting gun sounds for events in the Out Island Regatta. In a marine version of sports car racing's 'Le Mans' start, boats are anchored with sails down. Then there's a mad rush to up anchor and hoist sail at the same moment. Here the dingy classes get underway, with varying degrees of success. The event was held at George Town, Exuma, April 11-13. ...
