An Ifugao tribesman looks over the famous rice terraces, 1954
175 x 152 mm. The caption continues, 'built by the Ifugaos, which are carved out of the mountainside, in the Mountain Province of central Luzon. Some 400 sq. kms of rice are cultivated in this area'.
Autograph letters, 1890 - 1937
A collection of autograph letters with a list compiled by Bell. Those of particular interest include eight letters from Neville Chamberlain, whom Bell met in the Bahamas in 1895, and nine letters from Robert Dolbey, the army medical officer and Professor of Surgery at the University of Cairo, whom Bell appointed as his literary executor (circa 150 sheets).

The areas covered are, in order, Thailand; Laos; Northern Vietnam; South Vietnam; Cambodia; Luzon, Palawan, Central Archipaelago and Mindanao (Philippines); Sabah (Malaysia); Brunei; Sarawak (Malaysia); Western Malaysia; Bangkok.
