The caption on the reverse continues 'Kisaki is a sub-district of the Morogoro District where cotton is an extensive crop. It is full of splendid scenery; the Uluguru Mountains run through it; and elephants abound'.

210 x 150 mm. Morogoro was the headquarters of the Morogoro district of the Eastern Province, situated 1,628 feet above sea level - the township being set at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains. It was also the headquarters of the Agricultural and Labour Departments and had the Tanganyika Police Force's training depot. This is where the negatives were found in the 1950s.
