Contains slides mainly in thick plastic frames marked 'Photopia', made in Germany, dark grey with a red top. The exceptions are numbers 72-75 in Kodachrome cardboard frames which link up with C and numbers 37-38 and 99-103 which are in silver Sytec frames. Some of the frames have brief captions pencilled on them, but these are very hard to read. Others have labels stuck on. A roughly written numbered list was in the original box. A 220 x 140 mm watercolour of Sulivan House in June 1849, so named as the house was built for Captain Sulivan, later Admiral Sir Bartholomew James Sulivan KCB (1810-1890). Sulivan first visited the Falkland Islands for surveying purposes in command of the Arrow 1838-39, having earlier served as surveyor on HMS Beagle with Robert Fitz Roy.
