Scope and Contents
148 x 198 mm. A view of the monument erected in 1905 to celebrate the first English landing in Barbados three hundred years before from the ship 'Olive Blossom.' 'They erected a cross and inscribed on a tree the words 'James K of E and this island' thus constituting possession for the crown in whose uninterrupted possession this island has remained' (part of inscription on monument).
