A view looking out over thick bush interspersed with steep hills and granite outcrops. Mount Towli (or Towla) lies to the south of the main Pioneer route about 12 miles north east of the Umshabitsi River, taken between July 24th and 28th 1890.

Inside the zariba are rows of bivouac tents, a group of pioneers gathered round light field pieces and the searchlight (see Y3052A/30) and a flagpole in the foreground.
