This picture was taken shortly after the proclamation at Kerepunu: the flagstaff and its supporting wire are visible in the foreground. It looks down a street of houses from Espiegle Square. In the background, with the characteristic spire, the chief's house can be seen.

Many, though not all, were taken by Ian Maxwell, formerly Deputy Director of IUC. Though some have minimal identification, others have substantial annotations on the mounts. ...
