This album contains 114 collodio-chloride prints, mostly amateur work of good quality, approximately 110 x 65 mm in size. In addition to photographs of India, there are eight of Canada (72-79) and seven of England (80-85, 114) dated 1907 and 1909. Invitations for Douglas to become an honorary member of a number of regimental messes have also been inserted.

An album containing albumen prints of various sizes by R. Phillips of Darjeeling, Samuel Bourne and others. The name of F.A. Hawkes, who was an engineer on the North Bengal State Railways from 1871-1879, appears frequently in it. The photographs include the construction of the North Bengal State Railway, scenes in Darjeeling, amateur theatricals, portrait groups and Sir Richard Temple's camp at the Delhi Durbar of 1877.

79 x 52 mm. Showing a large houseboat moored at the bank of a canal or lake in Kashmir. This is presumably the craft mentioned in the Diary synopsis: 'I rent a very large and handsome house-boat (110 feet long) which Sir John Wood [Resident, Kashmir 1923-27] has kindly allowed to be moored off the Residency wharf'. (Bell 1925-1926, August 16). At the end of September Bell made a journey on the boat to the Wular Lake.
