Scope and Contents An undated description of Miss Granville-Smith's time in India and Kashmir, 178 pages, beginning with her departure from England on 25 August 1945, and covering a period of 22 months, ending with her return on 7 July 1947. The memoir was originally written in the form of round robin letters to her family, often as a diary covering several weeks of news.
