Scope and Contents An undated transcript of letters from Copeland to his mother describing his service in India, 1917-1918, illustrated with 101 photographs and 12 postcards of India and Burma, including architectural features, costumes and different racial groups. The majority of the images are either captioned or referred to in the narrative. Most of the photographs are circa 55 x 55 mm in size. The volume is marked 'Volume 5', but nothing is known of the earlier and later volumes, or of the fate of the writer.
