A view showing a man sitting on the side of a boat resting on sand in shallow water. Another man is standing up in the boat behind him. Land can be seen in the far distance. The typescript catalogue states that this photograph was taken in Tanzania. If so, it seems most likely that the 'Manda' referred to is that on the shores of Lake Nyasa.

There are two stories on the reverse of the cutting, which are: 'British children oversea [sic], Bill to appoint legal guardians' and 'Self-help among newspapers, Publication in spite of air raids.'
