Scope and Contents A photocopy of notes compiled 21 June 1996 (24 pages), sent to Dr Deborah Fahy Bryceson of the African Studies Centre, Leiden, in response to her letter in the 'Bulletin of Tanzanian affairs', no. 54 (1996), asking 'anyone who lived in Tanganyika for any length of time during the years 1945-1961 to send me their recollections'.
