Autograph letters, 1890 - 1937
A collection of autograph letters with a list compiled by Bell. Those of particular interest include eight letters from Neville Chamberlain, whom Bell met in the Bahamas in 1895, and nine letters from Robert Dolbey, the army medical officer and Professor of Surgery at the University of Cairo, whom Bell appointed as his literary executor (circa 150 sheets).

The postcards are captioned on the front and on the reverse they are numbered and the title is translated into French and German. Photographed and published by Lehnert and Landrock, Kamel Street, Cairo.

The prints listed were chiefly from the files of the Photo Bureau, the majority being mounted on sheets of paper with substantial descriptions, and in many cases the negative attached. Titles and captions, including the names of institutions, have been recorded as found. Captions supplied by the cataloguer are enclosed in square brackets.
