'Cairo Interlude', Oct. - Nov. 1945
Following his trip down the river recounted in 'The Nile Route', Don (Thomas Donald Simon) spent seven weeks in Cairo, taking many photographs of the city, and of nearby Pyramids and the Sphinx. He completes this volume with a short account of his trip to England, where he married Louise Smart, and on his return to Kenya on the 'Monarch of Bermuda' as far as Cairo, and subsequently by Short Sunderland flying-boat to Kisumu on Lake Victoria.
