Scope and Contents 275 x 206 mm. A view showing part of the Cantonment area (precise location unidentified) (precise location unidentified) of Quetta, with mountains beyond. The roads (lined with containers for growing trees) are laid out on a grid pattern, with army quarters (mainly small bungalows) grouped on the plots of land. Quetta was secured by treaty from the Khan of Khalat in 1876 and this photograph was probably only taken a few years later since both the buildings and gardens have a recently...
