Prominent on the shoreline are the headquarters of Siemessen and Co (the second to the right of the large white buildings) the oldest German firm in the Colony, which started business in China in 1846. The building is situated near the junction of Wardley Street and Chater Road. St John's Cathedral can be seen behind the waterfront.
