Scope and Contents 162 x 90 mm. A formal group portrait of the officials present at the 1932 durbar held at Sri Menanti, palace of the Yang di-Petuan Besar at Seremban. The figures in the group are: [?] Al-Mutasim Billah al-Sultan ABDULLAH (d 1932); Sultan of Pahang circa 1918-1932. Brysons caption identified this figure as Sultan Ahmad, but this is surely incorrect: Sultan Ahmad (circa 1881-1938) had ruled Pahang since 1865. On his death in 1914 his son Mahmad succeeded him and he in turn was succeeded...

Showing Sir Andrew Caldecott inspecting a guard of honour at Sri Menanti on the occasion of the conferring of the G.C.M.G. on Tuanku Muhammad, the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri [i.e. Negeri] Sembilan. The caption on the reverse of the print refers to Caldecott as O.A.G. (Officer Administering the Government) but he does not appear to have undertaken this function until 1934. 58 x 84 mm. A half length portrait of H.H. Muhammed, K.C.M.G., (Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George) K.C.V.O. (Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order), ibni Almerhum Antah, Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan. Muhammed (circa 1865-1933) was ruler of Negri Sembilan from 1887-1933.
