A view looking northwest towards the piles of provisions in the Indian Commissariat Lines, with the masts of a ship visible beyond and the houses of El Geif (the mainland suburb of Suakin) in the distance. The Indian Commissariat Lines were situated on the mainland south of Suakin Island and east of El Geif. In the distance at the right can be seen the Caravanserai (see Y3042A/55).
