Zimbabwe, 1955 - 1991
A series of photographs of the University of Zimbabwe. The University College of Rhodesia and Nyasaland, Salisbury (now Harare), was incorporated in 1955. In 1980 it became the University of Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe Hill and Ruins, 1890
A view looking towards the hill ruins situated on a site to the north of the elliptical building (see Y3052A/110). A section of the old walls can be seen at the right of the print, with the thatched huts of the latter-day inhabitants dotted among the huge granite boulders of the north side (see Y3052A/114). Photograph taken between August 13th – 19th.
