300 x 250 mm. View north-east, probably from St. Andrew's bastion, showing Marsamxett Harbour and the Cathedral rising above the houses and fortifications. The Cathedral, whose construction was paid for by the Dowager Queen Adelaide, was constructed in 1839-1842, the architect of the distinctive spire being William Scamp.

These were numbered 3, 6, 10 and 11 and the remaining boxes were unnumbered. Presumably these formed part of a larger collection, but nothing is known of the original owner or the fate of any other boxes. For conservation reasons, the collection has since been re-boxed. Collection of albumen prints by various photographers. The prints are of various sizes and show views of Europe, Malta in 1860 (numbers 12-26), Middle East and India. Numbers 93-145 relate to a visit to India in 1880, although the prints themselves are views taken in the 1860s mainly by Samuel Bourne. The majority of the prints have handwritten captions.
