There are 118 different pictures; 1-37, 71-117 are prints, with negatives of 34-37; 38-70, including 49a, are from the personal collection of Hugh Patterson Bryson presented to the RCS towards the end of his life, and relate to his post-war work as British Adviser, Negri Sembilan, from which he retired in 1951.

News cuttings, 1945
A series of articles from the magazine ‘Illustrated’ and the newspapers ‘SEAC’, ‘The Malayan Times’ and ‘The Straits Times’ reporting the surrender of Japan and the treatment of military and civilian internees. These were collected by Weekley during Sept. 1945.
Newscuttings on Africa and South East Asia
The principal part of the collection is a set of thirteen scrapbooks of newscuttings relating to East Africa, particularly Kenya and Tanganyika. The rest of the collection consists of a volume of cuttings relating to post-war trading opportunities in Nigeria and three scrapbooks concerning rubber and mining in South East Asia.
