95 x 68 mm. A indisnct print showing Ormsby punting across the river on a wooden raft, with a group of African workmen standing in the background. Sidney William Ormsby (1872-1909) was temporarily engaged for road construction in Uganda in 1901. He later became Transport Officer for the Protectorate (1902) and Collector for Mbale (1908).

Bruce was sent out in charge of the Royal Society Commission into sleeping sickness in Uganda in 1903 and 1908-1910 and made important discoveries about the disease.
