Scope and Contents An undated copy of Ponsonby's diary covering his departure from England on 8 January 1898, his journey from the East African coast to Uganda and military operations. Ponsonby stopped writing at the end of 1899 after he became ill. There is a page summarising the events of 1899 when he served under Col.
