Gigantic Buddha at Polonaruwa, 1870 - 1900
276 x 218 mm. Head on view of the colossal 46 ft long reclining Buddha at the Gal Wihare, Polonnaruwa. This rock shrine also contains two other massive statues and an inner temple carved from the brown granite. Photographer unknown, probably Scowen &Co.
