Contains slides recording a visit to Guyana in 1970 though there is no indication whether it was in an official capacity. The earlier slides show aerial views flying inland from the coast, followed by a journey up the Rupununi River to the border with Brazil. The return route was apparently to the north of the outward journey and included a series of aerial photographs of the Kaieteur Falls.

Im Thurn's fine collection of ethnographical photography is in the possession of the Royal Anthropological Institute (of which society he was President 1919-20).
